Painting Surface Size: The piece is basically a 12 inch x 6 inch square box. However, the lid surface size measurements are 13 inches square.

Surface Source: You have both my permission and encouragement to adjust the line art to better fit your unique surface. Remember to add your own creative touches; additional blocks, toys, hearts and checks can easily be included to embellish empty spaces or border the design. As long as the additions are from the colors on your palette (color conversion charts are available online), the effect you fashion will be a pleasing combination. Most importantly, trust your decorative intuition and let your heart lead you!
Ellen's first two grand-daughters each received a box just like this when they were born. She had to paint one of them twice as the post office demolished the original box sent to Texas.
The angel was part of a series of 12 angels that would be painted and then sewn into a quilt. The Easter/Springtime Angel Box and Patriotic Angel Box are part of this series.
